Re: spindle/knuckles for a 67/68 Imperial
Thanks Imperial Atom, I did change the inner bearings, but didn't swap from side to side mid-process. The more I think about it, the inner bearings slid right off and on, a bent spindle it seems would hang them up. I'll buy another bearing and see, a $15.00 investments will be worth it.

spindle/knuckles for a 67/68 Imperial
Changed bearings and hubs/rotors (finished the AAJ brake conversion) on the front end of my '67 and as I spin the rotor on the passenger side, I get a faint but irritating rumble at the same point every rotation. If my ear isn't right next to it, I can't hear it and if holding a lug I can feel it. S...

Re: Budd Caliper Issues
I've gone through a bunch of Cardone rebuilt. I have since gone with AAJ Brakes as his conversion is all GM "Big" brake kit. But, there are decent shops who will sleeve your calipers. I happened to use Power Brake Exchange on my last '67 for both the booster and calipers. He just did the booster on ...

Re: Let's Introduce ourselves.
Hey Doug - I used to live in Pittsburgh for about a year back in 2001. I make my way over there once in a while to see a friend who's into the radio collecting hobby, so will have to meet up one day when it gets warmer and there's fewer viruses flying about. :) We, pre-COVID, spent a lot of time in...

Re: Let's Introduce ourselves.
Hello All, I'm Doug Sako (Sluggo) I live in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, PA. I now have a 67 LeBaron, my 2nd, which I picked up from the Gesswein Auction. I have always liked the forward look years but for some reason have a hang up for the 67s. My dad was a Chrysler mechanic in Detroit for many y...

Re: Looking for a Project Car
Don, I have a 1967 Crown, 4 Door Hardtop, I need to move. I'm rebuilding the Budd Brakes now, new booster, M/C, rotors and calipers. It has some issues, in the headlight switch in particular and I was going to change the valve stem seals but got sidetracked - it's a pretty decent car - I'm not looki...

Re: Dura Brake Rotors
Found the issue - wrong bearing race/cup. Took it back to the shop and now everything is just fine!

Re: Dura Brake Rotors
How's your research so far? MY buddy's uncle got a '68(?) Crown and they recently upgrade its brake. I'll be coming over to buddy's garage this weekend to help him install the shocks and dually wheels on his Superduty project. I Will let you know what brake rotors they got. Thank you, The bearings ...
