Gauge cluster on a '91

I've heard these things are tricky maintenance issues.

Here's a pretty example, at a good price, with a totally dead cluster. Can this kind of thing be fixed? Could you maybe use an analog one?

Re: an interesting site to browse

After browsing around a bit more, I'm suspicious of this site. I'm not sure I see even one ad that seems really current. And the place where it invites you to contact the seller says, "You are interested?" Now, no native English speaker would write that. I think it's just a scam to get people to ent...

an interesting site to browse

http://classiccardb.com/ I couldn't figure out at first why this site has so many ads than any other--800 results on "Imperial," if you can believe. But I ran across several cars I knew from shopping around were sold long ago, so I think their secret is never deleting a listing. Also, they'll have ...

Re: does anybody know this '69?

Thanks for the tip, Sluggo. I had seen cars on various sites marked for the Gesswein auction, but didn't know anything about it. I've just been browsing their inventory. They do have some interesting stuff! They have a whole section of their web page for classics here: https://www.gessweinmotors.com...

Re: does anybody know this '69?

Thanks for the info, Sluggo. No, Atom, I didn't get it, so I guess that one's out of the question, then.

There are not a lot of the fuselage bodies on the market, I find--they're really rare.

So the hunt continues!

Re: puzzled by '69 steering wheels

Brainstorm! The brown car has tilt wheel and the blue one does not. I think that's what makes the difference.

Re: puzzled by '69 steering wheels

Possible, and it's a car I haven't seen in person, but it's close enough to the other wheel to make me think not. Look how the handgrips at each side are similar, and the horn ring looks the same except that it's a half-ring only on the brown one. The color of the brown one is an exact match to the ...

does anybody know this '69?

At Gateway Classics: https://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/ORD/1475/1969-Chrysler-Imperial I'm semi-interested, at least. That paint (and particularly the striping) is not factory, but it doesn't look bad. The car has clearly been around a while and even was in a YouTube before the dealer bought it: ht...

It's amazing what Dr. Google can do for you, isn't it? I thought to search and found this:

Looks like they have everything in the world.
