Re: My new Imperial
No problem on the picture. Never checked the 0-60 time but I can say that my car will definitely exceed 104 mph. One time of many that I had gone joy riding as a kid, a guy in a Camaro with all of the "looking & sounding like I'm fast" accessories pulled up beside me as I was cruising down the highw...

20230215_143029.jpg The driver side mirror on my car isn't that great either lol. I forgot you had mentioned seat belts. No doubt that is rare. It is strange that the Imperial never lost the Chrysler part of the name. I've seen titles for Imperials done both ways. So far any of the titles I have tr...

Re: My new Imperial
Correct on the mirror being factory or not, would be interesting to know. There is a box on the punch card that is for mirror. I have seen 2 different styles of mirrors, some are on the door & some are on the fender. I wish I knew how to decode the punch card.

You also have a right side mirror. I think that is the first one I've seen that way.

Re: My new Imperial
Somehow the other one posted before I was done.....technology escapes me sometimes. I'm guessing not many of them had air conditioning so that's really cool you have air conditioning. The interior sounds cool, I'm not familiar with the cloth pattern. My horn & windows work when the ignition is off s...

Re: My new Imperial
Congratulations on that beautiful '56 Imperial! Looks to have factory air conditioning. Torqueflight transmission is the 3 speed & a Powerflight is the 2 speed. My car was built February 16 & has the Torqueflight. Not sure the exact date the Torqueflight became available. Leather interior or cloth?

Re: Help Needed
That is a bummer the glove box key doesn't want to unlock the trunk.
These cars have the air conditioning unit mounted in the trunk and his is factory a/c, no access that way.

Re: Build Record
I knew I forgot something and it was that they only have information on cars from 1930-1967, trucks from 1930-1954, sorry about that. You are correct Don, there is a possibility that 1959 codes were the same.
