Re: Autopilot indicator repair

Nice lift - do you keep another car under it? I did. Was a 74 vette. Another project I got started on but then got side tracked with a 76 vette. Had that one for a long time. Sold them both in 2015. Now I have some tools under there. I got real lucking buying it. I had been checking craigslist dail...

Re: Autopilot indicator repair

I finally have it all back together. A short back story. What started me down this road, was I thought I had lost my keys. After taking the panel apart to get the ignition switch out, I found the keys. They were right where I had put them for safe keeping. Top right draw of my roller chest. All the ...

Re: Autopilot indicator repair

Repair looks good. Probably stronger than it was before. Agree with you assumption - not likely to find a C-3844, but I'm sure there's a more practical tool that can do the same thing. It is just a gauge. So the concern is what is the measurement of the gauge in order to set the accelerator rod con...

Re: Autopilot indicator repair

Just an update, got it repaired. I'm not painting it as it will not show. Sorry for the bit of blurriness. 20200616_182249.jpg 20200616_182420.jpg I have it all filed down. It fits on fine. Now for the install. Still working on an allen wrench to fit the ring that drives this dial. I did learn via t...

I have used JBWeld but the gray stuff. I see they have one for plastic, you are suggesting that one?

Autopilot indicator repair

Hello I was wondering if anyone know what type of plastic the indicator for the Autopilot is and what glue might work. I have the piece that is missing and would like to glue it back together hopefully. I would be interested in purchasing a replacement if the price is not outrageous. 20200608_192048...

1965 Cruise Control Knob install

I needed to take my ignition switch out. This meant removing the control knobs for the rear blower and the cruise control. I was fortunate that the 3 components that make up the cruise control knob did not have their set screws tight. Now that I see the set up, I would like to hear from those who ha...
