Re: 66 IMPERIAL REAR QUARTER BUMPER ESCUT.
How do you get them off? Looks like you have to pry up the inner fender liner-yes?

Re: Imperial parts and literature NOS & Used
Must be me; I have tried a bunch of times and have never been successful at searching your site for 1966 Imperial stuff. I get all kinds of other things. Thanks for trying

Re: Imperial parts and literature NOS & Used
How would I search your inventory to see everything you have for a 1966 Imperial?

Imperials were silent when new. We had them.

Re: When installing NOS drums......
To quiet noises (squeaks-sqeuals) as I understand it. I did not transfer them-and so far I don't hear anything different, but the difference in rolling smoothness is noticeable. It had always felt like a slight out-of-balance condition that I tried several times to address by re-balancing the tires,...

Re: When installing NOS drums......
Nope. They were advertised on Craigslist for quite a while. I finally went to see them a couple of days ago and measured them-under 11 inches (max allowable 11.090), LOTS OF MEAT! And I can make more than one high speed stop with no fade.

Re: When installing NOS drums......
Exactly what I did, thanks to both of you. Not only do they stop quickly and straight, there is no longer any minor roughness in the wheel caused by original drums that were balanced when new but were near the end of their service life so the weights they carried were not as well matched to the bala...

When installing NOS drums......
Hello all. By dint of circumstance I happened upon a set of 4 NOS brake drums for my 66 Imperial. (Yes, they were VERY expensive-but how often does an opportunity like that come along?).The friction surfaces were covered in a blue protective coating, which kept them from rusting. The surfaces are sh...

Re: 1964 Imperial Conv
I've never had an early 1964, either. However I've had 1-59, 2-60's, 1-61, 2-62's, 1-63, 3-64's, 3-65's, 6-66's, 4-67's and 2 68's. All had AC, 3 had Dual AC (my favorite option), 3 had a reverberator and one 68 had the factory AM/FM with the Stereo tape unit under the dash (which was stolen as it w...

Re: 1964 Imperial Conv
Show us pictures and we can tell you what the car has. It's fairly easy to spot options on a 64: If you see something protruding from the top of the dash, you have an automatic headlight dimmer. If you see a horn ring, you have a tilt wheel. If you have what looks like a silver knob underneath the i...
