Dura Brake Rotors
Now I'm working on the 1967 Crown. Received the DuraBrake rotors and had a shop change over the hubs to the new rotors, along with the inner bearing race. Now the rig sits about 1/2 inch too far down from the "top" of the spindle. It is as if the hub should not have a race pressed into it and the be...

Re: THE JIM GESSWEIN COLLECTION
I went overboard and bought the 1967 LeBaron. Only about 30% finished with my 1967 Crown (4 dr. HT) which I"m now going to have to sell to pay for the LeBaron... There were some beautiful cars that brought prices higher than I ever would have thought.

Re: 65 Imperial disc brake conversion
the master cylinder is the same physical dimensions, the bore size and residual valve are the only differences. It's funny you ask about that because I am actually re-plumbing this stuff this weekend, right after valve stem seals. I'm going with the NiCop vs. the steel (I must have made a bad flare)...

Re: 65 Imperial disc brake conversion
It has made a difference. I'm a little weird, I did a brake job with the Budd calipers just so I could do a test (turns out had an issue with the pistons) so I went with Roger's kit sooner than anticipated. I had to realize that I'm not winning any shows so originality shouldn't concern me. Even wit...

Re: 65 Imperial disc brake conversion
He does sell both, but I went the cheap route to save on shipping. The Master cylinder should be one with a smaller bore, I've used one off of a 74 B/C body:https://www.manciniracing.com/ristdemacy.html He sells a basic prop valve like this: https://www.manciniracing.com/intuadprva.html I've just de...

Re: 65 Imperial disc brake conversion
Stock wheels (15") the kit I purchased was the base kit which is the brackets, parts list etc. it was $648.00 for all four corners. The rotors and calipers, lines etc were sourced via Rock Auto and Summit. The Master cylinder needs to be replaced - a smaller bore and no residual check valve and I pu...

Re: 65 Imperial disc brake conversion
I have a 67 and am working on a conversion kit purchased from AAJ brakes. Roger focuses on the Forward Look Imperials, I've found him to be incredibly helpful. We spent a fair bit of time comparing measurements, for the rears in particular, before he sold the kit to me.

Re: does anybody know this '69?
For what it is worth: Gesswein motors in S.D. has a lot of Imperials, a handful of Fuselage are on the site and a Hemmings. I've spoken with him a few times, we just couldn't come to terms on two cars (my ability to commit $), he's cranky but very knowledgeable and sure seems to care about them.
