This '69 coupe seems interesting, but it pretty much looks all wrong to me from the rear. I almost think a '70 rear end got grafted on--after a major rearender, maybe?
However, I can't claim the expertise of the members here, so I wanted to consult the hive mind. Am I right, or is this some kind of rare but factory 69 1/2 model or something?

puzzled over a '69 rear
Re: puzzled over a '69 rear
It does have a ‘70 rear bumper assembly on it. I sold a car to these guys last year.

Got a reply from the dealer:
"After doing several google searches it appears that the 4 dr lebaron had a different rear end then the 2dr hardtop Crown."
Can anybody validate this? Does anybody here have a '69 Crown coupe and could maybe show us a picture?

All the ones I see pictures of online have the chrome in the middle of the rear bumper where the backup lights are at on this one here.

Could be, but I have owned several 1969s and this is the first I ever heard of that.
