I couldn't figure out at first why this site has so many ads than any other--800 results on "Imperial," if you can believe.

But I ran across several cars I knew from shopping around were sold long ago, so I think their secret is never deleting a listing. Also, they'll have multiple ads on the same car sometimes.

So I think it's not good for serious shopping, but interesting to see what has been for sale in the past.

After browsing around a bit more, I'm suspicious of this site. I'm not sure I see even one ad that seems really current. And the place where it invites you to contact the seller says, "You are interested?" Now, no native English speaker would write that. I think it's just a scam to get people to enter their contact info for some kind of hacking.

I think it's OK to view the pictures. At least I did, and my computer hasn't blown up. But I wouldn't click on anything there.

And looking around other places, it seems this site is simply re-posting listings from other locations. Those other locations may be scam sites, who knows, but I wouldn't try to buy any car from that site.

Searched on Google images for that same image and it found it referenced by Hemmings and autotrader and other places who consolidate dealership listings. The actual dealership selling the car is Beverly Hills Car Club: https://www.beverlyhillscarclub.com/194 ... c-9700.htm

And the price matches, so I assume the classiccardb.com site is simply going to collect your info and share it with Hemmings, Autotrader, or directly to the dealership, and earn a commission if the vehicle sells.

So search for who the seller actually is and when you find them you can determine if they are a legitimate seller who has a good reputation.

You'd think a place called Beverly Hills Car Club would have pristine cars for sale. Most of the cars I see on there are overpriced wrecks. This T&C doesn't seem too bad.

I agree, though, it's hard to take a website seriously when they have ads on there that are years old. There's a website that has an ad for a blue 62 Imperial that I know I've been looking at for 5 years.
