It is a LeBaron, one of 1,878 produced for the 1966 model year. It has each of the following LeBaron-only hallmarks, to name a few:

1. Formal rear window
2. LeBaron patterned seats
3. Distinctive die-cast interior door trim in brushed chrome with two wood inserts
4. Interior rear quarter reading lamps, with individual push-button on-off switches
5. Lavaliere straps
6. Chrome eagle ornaments on exterior "C" pillars
7. LeBaron script on lower front fenders
8. LeBaron script on glove box door
9. LeBaron plaque on the deck lid, northwest of the "Imperial" script.

Seems like the price isn't too far off from reality then based on the condition I see.

That's great! Glad someone here got it.

How's the condition after seeing it in person?

It's a solid car; missing the center for the tilt/telescoping wheel, wavy upper dash, some wear on the seats, worn spots in the paint, the headliner needs work, the left rear door is gutted, the speedometer is inoperable, the tires are rough, the glove box is missing, and half of the switches need attention. That said, it runs well; is largely unmolested, has no worry-some rust, and still shows very well.

It's going to be a fine line between keeping her 100% original and changing out things that are worn, but serviceable. Ultimately, I hope to make her a daily driver.

If you are up for it, would love to see some restoration threads as you work on her, even if it's simply replacing a few things here and there. Even a thread showing pictures of the new car you got would be pretty cool to see and read further details.

As soon as the rain here in Texas breaks, I'm going to clean her up and get some pictures. I'll start a new thread then.
