1956 Parts Car - Donation to Community

All,

I have my father's 1956 Imperial that I'm interested in donating to someone in the community that is near Northern Arkansas. My Dad hired an "up in age" cousin to start a restoration on the car about 10 years ago, and the cousin's health deteriorated shortly thereafter. The current state of the car follows:

- 4-Door sedan...originally blue top/white bottom
- All doors and interior removed
- Front windshield/Rear glass damaged
- Interior freshly upholstered (blue/white)
- Engine (354) should still run...transmission failure is what parked the car decades ago
- Body straight with minimum rust
- All body trim (good condition) removed and stored in garage with interior and doors
- Rest of car stored under car cover
- Car is not much to look at right now...kinda looks like a 1956 Imperial with doors & interior removed

I would love to see the car benefit someone. I live in Florida and had to accept that I will never have time to restore the car to its former glory.

Ready for any questions,

Here's me wishing northern Arkansas was closer to Atlanta.

Good luck with the disposition of your car. Blue over white sounds pretty.

gary h,
I have not found the original title. Willing to produce other paperwork that may be helpful to the next owner (e.g. "bill of sale", etc.). If you can put the car to good use then I would love for you to have it. I just don't want to see the car go to waste.

gary h,
No major updates. Just waiting on someone to speak up that they want the car. I don't know where the title is located. I'll attach some "non-flattering" pictures of when a cousin started, but never finished, a restoration for my Dad. As mentioned in the original post...the interior has been freshly reupholstered (no pics of that currently).

The car is easy accessible...not surrounded by a bunch of boxes/crap as shown in the pictures.

Hi Shane, Sorry, it is too much for me to take on . I have my pair of 66's keeping me busy. I hope someone can get your Dad's project and finish it. Best of luck , Gary....

Geez I feel bad. This guy can't give this car away. I have a proposition(a challenge?) for the group here. This car is about 6 hours from me. If there's someone anywhere near me or the car and can help me, I'll drive up with my trailer and load everything up, and drag it all to my house, where it will be available to anyone. Maybe a different venue will help someone want to rescue it.

Not sure I could do this on my own, but if I had a little help I think it would be doable.

No, did not hear anything back on this one. Hopefully they did find it a good home.
