Stummy - that is a stunning car. Not many of those around in that condition.

New on here & wanted to post a few pictures. I was 2 years old when my parents bought this '56 Imperial in 1970. They said I wouldn't get out of the car after they test drove it so they decided they had to buy it. Due to an unfortunate family situation the car had been left in the garage, untouched since 1997. I became the new owner last month & have it running again. I wanted to drive it home but the junk in the gas tank said otherwise. Looking forward to getting this back on the road!

OMG how beautiful! I wouldn't get out of it either. Hope it's an easy project. The car is an heirloom. Love it.

Thanks slantflat! Don, your '56 is a really nice car! Will look great all fixed up again! I'm no expert on anything but I haven't seen many with factory air conditioning. Out of the five I ended up with, one has factory air & one has maybe dealer installed air. The pink car & the car with factory air have a Torqueflight transmission. I think all the others have a Powerflight, been a long time since I looked at them very close.
