Considering selling my '63

Post by 63ImpCB »

I am considering selling my Imperial crown 4drht. It's a daily driver quality car with redone interior, rebuilt engine, front disc brakes, and air conditioning. The auto pilot works. The electric antenna doesn't work, but that's okay because the radio has been converted to play mp3s and the passenger side rear window is non-operational. Even the electric vent windows work. One of the hood hinges is broken, there is rust in the trunk weather stripping lip and in the trunk floor (I have replacement sheet metal for these) there is also rust on the bottom edge of the door skins. The rest of the car is really solid and it makes a great daily driver. with the little bit of information that I have given, what are some ballpark figures I can expect to sell this car for? if I do decide to sell it, I don't want to have it listed outrageously high or fantastically low. Thank you for any help that you can give me. I have included a photo of the rust in the trunk floor. I also have included a picture of how solid the floor is in the car. It was coated in por-15.

If you do decide to sell it, be sure to post that in the Classifieds section of this board. I'm sure someone will give it a good home if you do decide to let it go.

Thanks for the reply. If I do decide to put the car up for sale, I will make sure that I post it here first. What would be a fair price range?

Hard to tell if not seeing it in person, but seeing as it's a hardtop and not a convertible, it will obviously sell a little slower. Off the top of my head, if it's in really good shape all around then I'd guess around 10 to 12k maybe? If there's rust issues then a few k less I would guess. I have a price book from last year, I could look it up in that after dinner tonight.
