That is excellent advice, thank you.
I do think that someone was in here before me as you can see a few of the screw heads were rounded.
All the bolts were quite loose and not what I expected of a carb from 1964. The float height was all over the place, which started me on this journey.
I will checkout those “aluminum rivets” , I do see what you are referring to.
