fuel line for 64 convertible.
Anyone know the the path the fuel line is supposed to take in a 64 convertible? I have to second guess a lot of the work the previous owner did. He has it running down the outside of the frame. It runs over the body mount brackets. Which to me looks odd and unsafe.

It runs in one piece on the outside of the frame but up and over the mounts.

Thanks Matt
Great, that is a load off my mind. Same as my car. Less work for me. I hate to ask but can you also send pics of the two... two mount brackets? Previous owner cut the mounts to get them to fit the inside hole. Also the holes are not the same size...a puzzel.

Matt - looks like you got a bit of rust there.
Mike - your body mount looks completely different from Matt's. Is a different one or did the previous owner completely replace it?

Our pics are of different mounts. Different locations. Some brackets are designed to hold two mounts others just one. I have figured our some stuff but some is still a mystery. Moving forward slowly. Still not sure what I will do with the two mounts under the RAD. When I bought the car the mounts were all messed up. I couldn't open or close the doors.

Re: fuel line for 64 convertible.
This thread is turning into a discussion of body mounts. Maybe I should start a new topic. Not sure it should be under power-train maybe interior and exterior. Maybe we should have a new board. I can add stuff on what I have done so far. How about suspension? What do u think Atom?
Re: fuel line for 64 convertible.
The only rust on the whole car, other than surface of course, is the interior pans and I have replacements coming in the near future.ImperialAtom wrote: ↑Thu Apr 16, 2020 8:51 am Matt - looks like you got a bit of rust there.

How about a Brakes / Suspension / Exhaust section? Basically an area to cover all the rusty bits.Ottawa Mike wrote: ↑Thu Apr 16, 2020 9:06 am This thread is turning into a discussion of body mounts.
