Yep, you DO have to make sure the trailer is long enough!

hauling a car can not fun sometimes... i came back with a car that would shimmy over 55 mph... wasnt fun going down hills... semi trucks blasting past me.
I had a car taken from CA to Ohio for 1200$... a 60 imperial on the back of a semi hauler... was well worth the money.

Mike - I had mine transferred from Washington state to Ohio for about 1100 in the same fashion. Agree, well worth the money compared to driving it myself.

I'm pretty sure that's what I'm going to do. No way I want to drive 30 hours in a row. That's an awful drive from the northeast to Georgia anyway.

You could fly out and drive it home, but one of two things will get you...
1 - the car will break down, leaving you stranded
2 - the car will not break down, suck so much gas it maxes out your credit card, and leave you stranded
It's kinda sad, an 18 wheeler with a massive trailer hauling half a dozen cars can get better fuel efficiency than some of our cars.

The car doesn't run. So I'm stranded as soon as I get off the plane!
