Got the 57 out for a winter run

I realized I had not had the 57 out all year long, and had only enjoyed the 66. Mostly because the 66 is in the garage attached to the house, and the 57 was in a storage unit about 3 miles away.

Since they will be putting salt down soon, I decided it's now or never, so went over and tried to fire the old girl up, but the battery was toast. Put a charger on it, but it was only reading 2 volts, so it was a gone. Swung by Costco to get a decent budget battery and dropped it in, and she fired up after about 5 seconds of cranking. Not too bad!

She had a few flat spots on the tires that really didn't want to work themselves out since it was cold, but otherwise she drove beautifully.

Swung by the gas station to fill her up, and someone asked to take some pictures, and I still didn't think of taking any of my own. Then swung by the car wash and washed off the dust - finally back to a somewhat polished look again.

Got a few other horn honks while driving around. These cars get so much attention! Then it was back to parking her for the winter slumber.

I think I'll get the 57 out early next year... still have some old gas in her that needs to be run out, and she needs to be out and about in some nice warm weather!

Good show, Adam! Probably the best time you've had all week. Next year, why don't you switch out the car in the storage area, so you can have equal time with both cars.

You are right, I need to. Would love to just have a large garage with 10+ spots for classic cars - that would be so nice!
