Re: 1958 Imperial 2dr Coupe project
In my mind, that's a $500 deal. There's just so much rust on that, so many missing parts, it's very rough.
Re: 1958 Imperial 2dr Coupe project
I only saw a few pics,maybe sold ?
Re: 1958 Imperial 2dr Coupe project
havent heard, its bennys car.
A 2 door coupe complete for 500$? its only missing the drivetrain... cmon a piece of trim is 300$. A set of couple trim is 1500$ probably...
Its hilarious how much people want for Imperial parts but whole projects are worthless?

You are right, and it's not just with Imperials. You can buy a beat up old cadillac for $500-$1000 and sell the parts to make back 5k or more. I don't want to part out old cars though, I feel I'm destroying something. (and my HOA would hate me) So to buy a project I'm looking at it from the perspective that I need to get it as cheap as possible to give as much funding towards restoration of it.

Hope a Derbier doesn't get it !
Re: 1958 Imperial 2dr Coupe project
doubtful a derbier would destroy a 2 dr ht. Its a complete car minus the engine and back seat. 3k is a bit much to spend for a donor car also. It could be saved but who knows, at 3k its worth it. 2dr ht's are getting scarcer and scarcer, a 58 is the rarer of the cars.
I also like the 58 Imperial better than the 57, like the Dodge and Plymouth and Chrysler.
I like the 57 Desoto over the 58

As a 57 owner I must respectfully reject your notion that a 58 is more attractive.
