Greetings, Imperialists.
While considering the purchase of a 1968 Imperial Crown, I came across a tire code on the body data plate (fender tag) that decoding sites online can't explain: tire code 83. Now, the Online Imperial Club website identifies a code 083 as "triple-ribbon whitewall tires". Perhaps that is the correct decoding. But what do these triple-ribbon or 3-stripe whitewall tires look like? Anyone have a photo of these tires? Also, would radial tires have been an option for an Imperial in 1968?
Thanks, folks.
