WTS: 1968 Imperial Crown Hardtop Sedan

This early 1968 Imperial Crown (manufacture date 0824) is reluctantly offered for sale. The price of $15,800 is my cost. Another project languishes for lack of capital.
This Crown is unrestored, odometer shows 04,000 miles; title trail assures mileage is 104,000.

This edition is correctly shod with new (code 083) triple-ribbon whitewall (radial) tires, and is sold with the original wheel covers and a set of malaise-period wire wheel covers that show surprisingly well. The body is very honest, revealing scrapes, dings, and rust damage.

The leather and illiac cloth interior testifies to its gentle use by two elderly ladies and two Imperial aficionados; you'll be the 5th owner. Small children never used this interior; a white Labrador did on rare occasions. The original carpet is protected by custom hand-crafted floor mats. 3rd owner filed some maintenance records; 4th owner filed every record imaginable (possible OCD personality issues).
This Crown is converted to dual exhaust with a factory-correct system from Waldron Exhaust. Spark is now provided by a Pertronix electronic ignition and the fuel/air blend is regulated with a Carter 4640s. All other elements of the drivetrain are original to the car. Sale includes a 5-ply indoor/outdoor cover by Covercraft.
