Hey Wilson, why not a 73? They look pretty much the same as the 72.

You are right, just a typo on my part. I love all the “Fuselage” Imperials but my preference is for the 1969-71 models.

1964 Crown 4DR HT

Post by SLIMS64 »

8.12.25 - Hello Everyone, PizzaCat here.
I am here mainly for technical information as I just inherited a '64 Crown 4 door from my dad and while I've learned some things in my 51 years, this beast is a whole new level of electronic lunacy.

He put some love into her and then pushed her aside, so when I got her she was 90% good. I have a starting issue that I believe a new Neutral Safety Switch may alleviate, then I'll work on the drum speedo and A/C and ODO that don't work. She runs and drives fine with lots of love on the motor and transmission and suspension.

Her name is Gladys. Original paint was just brought back from the dead and I am loving her natural patina.
Enjoy your day everyone, PC.

PizzaCat that is a beautiful car. I don't know anything about 64s. If the whole car looked like your trunk picture you've really done a miracle on her.

A guy at work(1/3 my age) saw your picture and I said it's an Imperial and was the epitome of luxury in its day. He said, what's an Imperial?

No helping some people.

Agree with Mike, that is a great looking 64 and you should be very proud to own her. You have done a great job on the paint!

I think the 64 was the last year for the push button transmission, so that's really a great feature that people don't realize existed back then.
