Show us your Imperial
Re: Show us your Imperial
First Imperial... Always loved this year the best.
Fricking hard to find parts... Anyone have two door trim? hah
Floorpans and trunk are rock solid... This was at Turners in the youtube video.
she came from California to Ohio, cleaning it up, got the dent out the door, just suprised the floor are so good, it doesnt require a frame off.
Missing some stuff..

Re: Show us your Imperial
That's how my 57 was delivered, on the top back end of a car transport just like that. Looked like it was going to fall off any moment.
What year is yours? Is that a 61?
I'm guessing since the car lived in California first, that is what saved it from the rust.

That's a 60 I believe. Not bad! A little worse than my 61 in some areas, a little better in others.

Re: Show us your Imperial
Mike, where are you located?
Re: Show us your Imperial
I'm in Akron OH area, yes its a 60. Yeah i couldn't believe the guy put it up top, he did a great job getting it off. I have to pick up the rest of the bits from the seller in Chicago(bumpers trim etc).
My car is in this video(with lots of bits inside it, someone took most of them). Also didnt have the door bash...
Seller said the other two door ht 60 got crushed. I think they crushed alot.

Wow, that's an amazing video. Would have never thought to see so many Imperials in one spot. Sad if they did indeed get crushed.

Neighbors may not appreciate it in the street right now, but just wait until you get it going again and cleaned up.
Re: Show us your Imperial
1961 Custom 2 door I’ve owned for 12 years the first time.. and had sellers remorse ever since selling it and watching it drive away. So much time and money in it, and I knew what I had, and it would be hard to replace with the original ice blue color, condition, low serial number 202, a highly-optioned base Custom model. Then, got the chance to buy it back 2 years later.
I originally found it on eBay back in 2004, as a Montana shed-find car that sat there for 32 years. It was just a well used car at the time that the guy parked in the shed with his other cars. (found the old google maps street view pics of the shed with all of these cars in it!) He passed away, and I bought the car from the ebayer reasonably.
“Thousands” later, three career changes, and an adventure in labor, it is mechanically reconditioned and with Nos interior materials. It is still in its shed-find exterior condition. It is well liked just the way it is at the shows, not just another restored car. Driven regularly in the summertime. Canada Mopar Fest, and Chrysler Carlisle have been the furthest trips so far, about 5 hours each. Just turned 126,000 miles. Rob Kidd, Alliance, Ohio.

Rob - that's a good honest looking 61 you have there. Glad you got the option to own your car all over again, great story. If you ever make your way over near the north end of Columbus, let me know, you are always welcome to stop by and talk and I'll show you my two Imperials while you are here.
