Reproduction Boot Covers

Post by imperial2100 »

Anyone know if they make reproduction boot covers for the convertibles anywhere? While I have my originals, I'd really like to stick them somewhere safe and use something less valuable.

if you are talking about the 64-66 hard plastic boots, i know a guy who has fibre glass repros...... eh @detmatt ?
i know Legendary Interiors makes soft boots for C bodies, perhaps they could make 1 up for you.
however, i had a terrible experience with them with a top boot for a 70 fury convert so then again you might not.

Somebody bought the last 2 pair I had but I’m thinking he might be willing to sell a pair. I’ll see if I can find his contact info.

DetMatt1, can you please check your spam folder? If it's not sending the emails correctly I'll have to go fix that.
Thanks

Just sent you another message. Changed a setting on the server, so maybe that was causing the missing emails. Let me know if you get an email for the latest test message.

Also please let me know if you hear back on that boot, I'd love to get a spare.

How did you go about making them? Did you send it off to get some reproduced or make your own moulds or something?

Still no messages.
I had bought out an estate last year that included two cars and 4 van loads of parts. Included were a nice pair of black covers and three sets of fiberglass reproductions that were made in the 1980s. They were blanks with no hardware or emblem on them so more work was required to finish them. I sold one pair to Mark, The nice black pair went to one of Murray Parks clients and I sold the remaining two pair to another guy. I’ve been looking for his contact info but haven’t had any luck yet.
