Do we know who designed the eagle logo that started appearing in 1961 and continued on eventually to Chrysler LeBarons?
I always sort of casually assumed it was an Engel thing because they don’t seem very Exner-y to me. But when I think about it, I suspect those eagles were already in production before the Engel era began.

Re: Eagle logo design question
I don't know, but I'd be interested if someone does. That rounded eagle design was a good one in my opinion. I also like the style from the 50's as well.
Re: Eagle logo design question
Yeah, I think my favorite eagle was the one on the sides the 61’s But there were a variety of cool ones.

Re: Eagle logo design question
Lol - those fins!! In 61 the Imperial guys were probably designing on napkins at the bar with the Cadillac guys, and were like, "those aren't fins... THESE are fins!"
I cannot imagine how futuristic these cars must have looked in the 50's/60's.

It's always bore a striking resemblance to the Reichsadler with its wings raised; at least, in my opinion.
